Grethe Moen is a graduate chemical engineer at NTNU in Trondheim. She started her career in Statoil in 1982. Grethe Moen has during her career been involved in several disciplines. She has held various senior management roles in the areas of gas sales and marketing, production, downstream device technology and projects in Statoil.

Grethe Moen started in Shell in August 2007 as Vice President Corporate Support, part of the European management team of Shell.

In september 1st 2009, Grethe Moen got the position as director of exploration and production in Norway in addition to her position as Vice President HSE and Sustainable Development at the European level in Shell.
